Today we are introducing our new COFA website.

Before we go into some of the changes, who is COFA?  Well, if you are visiting this site, you probably came across Christian Outdoor Fellowship of America at your church, in the outdoors or heard about one of our events.  Or, maybe you happened across our site by following links from our social media accounts.  Either way, we are glad you are here!  But Who is COFA?

“Officially COFA with the help of four outdoor enthusiasts who wanted to use the outdoors as a ministry tool, founded Christian Outdoor Fellowship of America (COFA) in Denver, Colorado in 1995, at a sports show.  The vision of these men was to develop through prayer and the leading of the Holy Spirit a ministry tool that would reach out to the unchurched across the Nation.  They also wanted to have a ministry that gave an opportunity for Christians to have a place to fellowship (events) and enjoy the great outdoors…”

The changes to our website are about making navigation easier and adding a few features.  On the navigation front, you’ll see that the home page has been shortened with various areas around the content providing easy links to other areas of the site.  The main menu has been moved to the top and it stays in place when scrolling down the page.

Did you see the pictures of our National Events prominent on the page?  We are proud of these events and want to tell the world!  Click on the images and you will be taken to pages with more information and pictures of the events.  You can also sign up right there!

Speaking of events, COFA is more than just the big 4 annual events.  We also have monthly breakfasts and throughout the year we host events like ATV rides, Hunter’s Ed classes, Target Shooting and more.  The bar on the right side lists the categories.  Click on one that interests you and you’ll be taken to a calendar with upcoming events in those categories.

We have also built our own store!  COFA has some great gear and we thought we would share these with everyone.  You are also helping us out by supporting our ongoing mission.

By the way, did you see the big button next to the National Events saying Church Partner Login?  Great!  That is where we will be going deeper with our church partners on bringing an outdoor ministry to their own church or maturing their own ministry.  Why behind a login?  For now only people associated with a church leadership will be able to join.  We want this to be an open place for churches to discuss their needs and abilities with regards to this type of ministry.

Oh, and we revitalized our blog.  That’s what you are reading…  We will be posting new blog articles every couple of weeks from our leadership and friends.  These will have a focus on being Christian outdoors men and women with some current events thrown in.
