COFA Kayaking in Morrison – Saturday, May 23 – 8:00AM to 10:30AM

On Saturday, May 23rd, COFA (Christian Outdoor Fellowship of America) will host its Kayaking event in Morrison at Bear Creek Lake Park.
 

Do you enjoy kayaking? Maybe you're ready to try for the first time! COFA will have kayak outings to Bear Creek Lake Park on the following days this summer: Saturday, May 23; and Saturday, June 20, from 8am to 10:30am. COFA Kayaking

 

Please bring your kayak, floatation jacket, sunblock, sunglasses, drink, whistle, water shoes, hat and snacks or lunch. There are picnic tables at the park. It costs $10 per car to enter this Lakewood city park ($5 for seniors 62+ and disabled persons). Colorado State Park Passes are not accepted. 

 

We have three kayaks for those who do not have their own. Limit of 250 pounds and one person per kayak. Please let us know beforehand if you need to rent a kayak by calling Scott at 720-280-7833. You must wear a floatation vest, and we have several vests of different sizes for those that need to rent a kayak. Those aged 12-17 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or relative over 21. No children under 12 years old please.

 

COFA KayakingWe will meet at the boat dock at Bear Creek Lake on the northwest side of the lake. See image to the left. The coordinates will take you to this parking area where the red pin is shown. Here are the coordinates:  39.653306,  -105.148583. Copy / Paste these coordinates into your smartphone map app. Make sure you are not at Big Soda Lake! After you park, walk over to the boat dock area to meet Scott.

 

Suggested donation of $5 if you bring your own kayak, $10 if you would like to rent one.  If you have your own kayak, please bring your own floatation vest and whistle.
