Sadly, many kids get lost and do not know basic survival tips to take care of themselves.
Quick question: Would your child know what do if he/she gets lost? How to signal for help? How to create a shelter? How to stay safe from wild animals? How to navigate? How to keep dry when it rains? How to tie knots? Would they have the right information to get help and stay safe? What survival gear would you get them or do they know what to carry if they were hiking or playing in the forest with their friends?
These are great questions that we will address and more in our training session focused on Survival for Kids.
We believe when carrying the right gear and knowing how to use it, your child will be able to survive most outdoor emergencies.
Your child will learn what to do if he/she gets lost. How to signal for help. How to create a shelter. How to stay safe from wild animals. How to navigate. How to keep dry when it rains. How to tie knots, and many more tips specific for kids!
We will go over Survival Items and how to use them. The more quality items you carry the easier time you will have Surviving.
Does your child know how to use these items in a survival situation?
- Proper clothing
- Items to light a fire
- Survival knives, a whistle, compass, hand warmers, headlamp
- Quality high energy food
- Personal first aid kit
It is essential that every Item you take into the wilderness is Actually Useful to your survival and that your child knows how to use them. Most people think of only taking a small wilderness survival kit when they should instead consider taking the proper wilderness survival gear.
Bring your questions, and if you have them, bring your backpack and survival gear to the class. This will be a hands-on class for kids. Your kids can talk with those who have field experience in survival and can recommend what proper gear you should carry on your outdoor trips.
This class is open to kids ages 7 to 17, seating is limited to observe proper spacing. Register early so you don't miss this opportunity! Parents are encouraged to stay and help with the class. Parents need not register, only register your children.
