At COFA we love women to feel comfortable and empowered while holding and using their firearms for target practice or self-defense.

This event will be supervised by women, to women, in the hopes of allowing a common view of learning for all the basic knowledge and getting as comfortable as possible with a firearm.

During this time, women will learn the four universal rules of firearm safety as well as the responsibilities of a firearm owner and the  fundamentals of shooting.

There will be a basic understanding of ammunition and what happens when a firearm is fired, as well as understanding and working through the different malfunctions of your firearm.
 

Even though the event is free, you must register for this event. Space is very limited and we are not able to accommodate walk-ins. You may arrive anytime between 2-4pm, however we recommend that you plan to stay 1 hour to maximize your range time. Check-in with Leslie.

COFA is an All-Volunteer, non-denominational, designated 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. This is a free event, however, you will need to bring your own eye protection, ear protection, targets, ammunition, and firearm to the range otherwise you will need to rent/purchase these items at Bristlecone.
