COFA (Chri stian Outdoor Fellowship of America) is offering t he fishing getaway of a lifetime in the great stat e of Minnesota. You'll experience some of the greatest walleye fishing in the US\, located in the heart of North Central Minnesota. There is great scenery and wildlife right out the back door of your cabin. Who can come on this trip? It's op en to singles\, couples\, and families!

This is a great e vent not only for the fishing\, but if you need to take a break from your busy life and spend some t ime relaxing\, you might consider this retreat. So me of the most scenic biking and hiking trails in the US are near Lake Bemidji. It's a beautiful fal l getaway\; the fall colors are starting to show\, the geese are flying overhead\, wild turkey and d eer roam the woods\, while the smell of an oak cam pfire waffles in the evening air. You have the hea dwaters of the Mississippi River starting in Itasc a State Park\, a natural history museum\, and old town Bemidji with many quaint shops. Besides fishi ng\, there is plenty to do\; nature hikes and bike rides\, canoeing and kayaking at camp\, a day hik e at Itasca State Park to see the headwaters of th e Mississippi\, as well as shopping in the quaint town of Bemidji\, plus more!

We offer a short daily d evotional with lively music that will be uplifting and encouraging.
\n Bring your fa mily! If you're a homeschooler\, there is plenty o f science and history to teach your children from the area. Free wifi is available in the facility. The woods\, waters\, and wildlife offer amazing le arning opportunities. The Native American history from Bemidji is something kids will enjoy learning about\; for example\, you have tribes\, including Ojibwe (Chippewa)\, Ho-Chunk\, Menominee\, Mohica n\, Oneida\, Odawa\, Potawatomi\, and Sioux.

We will be lodging in ca bins and dining at Camp Oak Hills on Lake Marquett e south of Bemidji\, MN (home to Paul Bunyan and B abe the Blue Ox). The local lakes we f ish hold some of the Nation's largest walleye\, no rthern pike\, and musky. You will get a chance to fish\, trade stories\, and make some new friends.

Th e cost for this kind of event with hotel\, meals a nd fishing for five days in Bemidji would cost wel l over $1\,500 per person. COFA is offering this e vent for $500 per person\, $375 per child 5 to 11 years old\, and those under 5 free. A non-refundab le deposit of $350 per person will reserve your sp ot at the Fall Retreat! The remaining balance is d ue by September 1st.
