The Poaching Pastor By Michael Brooks The roar of the rifle and the splat of the connecting bullet is a sound every elk hunter loves to hear. The day started out sunny and slightly breezy. I was at 9,800 feet on the side of a mountain and sitting in a very nice draw and taking in the sights and sounds of fall.
