Word of the Day September 10, 2018

“ How vast and measureless the flood of mercy unrestrained The penalty was paid in full the spotless Lamb was slain Salvation, what a priceless gift received by grace through faith We stand in robes of righteousness we stand in Jesus' name.”

Psalm 150

1 Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.
2 Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.
3 Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.
4 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.
5 Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.
6 Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.

Good Morning! Some mornings I sit here for a good period of time pondering what to write. I seek the Holy Spirit, I pray, I think about writing a message that I need or someone else really needs or try not to offend someone but yet speak the truth from not Tim but from the Gospels and some days, that never really comes quickly.

This morning I just want to keep it simple. Just Praise Him. Straight to the point right? Our church had a praise and worship night this past Friday night and we corporately and personally worshipped our Lord and Saviour for the evening in songs of praise. It was an awesome time of worship! Sometimes we strive so hard to say the perfect thing, to sing the perfect way, to have the perfect sound, the perfect lights and we just forget to praise Him with our hearts and not our flesh. I am guilty of this sometimes because I do love music and the perfect sound. We need to just worship the King of kings and the Lord of lords and forget about everything else around us.

When I was in Canaan, I would sit and close my eyes as I sang my daily hymns to just GOD and myself and these were some of the sweetest times of worship I ever had. I would also walk for hours with my headset on listing to Praise and Worship music, singing out loud and hands raised and I was called the crazy Christian walking around making a joyful noise. I can also say that I longed to hear my church filled with the instruments, the singers, the choir and the congregation singing together in perfect harmony of worshipping Christ Jesus. (I also like it loud too)

We just need to stop and praise our King. That is what we were created for. We need to raise our hands to our Creator. We need to fall down on our knees seeking Him mercies each and everyday. We can worship Him in many forms but just remember it must be about Him and not about us.

So today as a start, praise Him in song all day long, worship GOD with your breath and give Him all the glory that He deserve. We need to try and forget all the rest and just seek Him in all that we are. Praise Christ our King today! Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD. Keep it simple. Just praise Him!

“ I want to be close, close to your side so heaven is real and death is, a lie. I want to hear voices of angels above singing as one. Hallelujah, holy, holy God almighty, the great I am who is worthy, none beside thee. God almighty, the great I am.”
