Who is hunting what, and where?

Postby Ironknees » Sat Jul 25, 2009 7:05 am

I guess it's time to revive this once a year thread... So, who is hunting what and where this year?

I'm flying to Presque Isle, Maine the end of Aug. for a bear hunt. Also will be hunting deer around here starting with archery season and going right on through till late muzzleloader and/or late archery...

I am hunting elk in the back meadow (Conifer, Colorado), cow tags only. Leaving for another elk hunt next week near Montrose.

I will be hunting cape buffalo in April or early may 2011.
I am putting together a group of Christian guys that are going along.
We have room to three more if anyone is interested.

I know I have the Elk hunt with COFA this year and a long time friend who lives out there from Back east.
Then my son will be in Iowa for the next 4 years in college and I hope to get in some hunting at my cousins farm out there.
I will still be hunting deep in Va on the farm , so my plans are made up for this up coming year.

I live in Bangor and assume you'll be flying into here.
Who are you hunting bear with?

Deer season ends here on Sunday, I'll be in the blind for one last hunt, I always try to hunt the last day of the season to reflect on the year.

Turkey season kicks up near the end of March and I'll be out chasing the birds while working on the home we bought that borders our hunting property in North Florida.

Deer season here in Texas ended a couple of weeks ago for me. Does and spikes ended the weekend before last.

I've got a turkey hunt scheduled with my hunting buddies from Elk Camp in Colorado, but the exact dates haven't been set yet. It will be after April 15th and before May 15th, that much I do know. My outfitter buddy is a CPA and can't get away until after April 15th and most states' seasons close by May 15th!

After that, it'll be fishing for Walleye and Pike in Red Lake, Canada, in August, with the same crew!
