My dream hunt would be elk or moose hunting any where but in Minnesota or Wisconsin. I have never hunted in any other state besides MN or WI. I enjoy reading all the stories you people tell of your hunts.

I was blessed to be able to hunt two of my three dream hunts. I've wanted to hunt antelope out west and pheasants in the corn belt for over 30 years. I bought a Rem .25-06 in the early 70's for speed goats. Didn't think I would ever get the chance so I sold that gun in 1981. I still kick myself for doing that. I hunted pheasants in Kansas in 2005 with a good friend, and antelope in Wyoming in 2006 with the same friend. These were hunts of a lifetime for me. My third dream hunt is for elk out west.

To be honest I was blessed two times this year to have been with my son when we each took a deer. Taking the deer was great but one time as we were dragging our deer out of the woods I couldn't help but think how blessed I was to have the fellowship of hunting with my son and us each dragging out a deer that day. Later in the season I had the pleasure of us each taking a deer and hauling them back to the truck with our ATV's and this was the first deer blood I got on my quad.

Well, This is a tough question... As I have matured as a hunter my hunting wants have also ... well gotten bigger. I still want to take a B&C Whitetail, but I am not sure that would count as a dream hunt.. maybe a dream harvest.
An Elk hunt would have been what I would have said a year ago, but now that I live in Colorado I really want to go to Alaska and go Moose Hunting.
I also want to go to Canada and take a Caribou.
The more I thought about this before I actually posted it came to me. I have 3 dream hunts, but my goal is to take every big game animal that N. America has to offer. I would love to do it with my bow, but just to be able to harvest one of every would be an awesome achievement...

But I guess the Alaskan/Canadian Moose hunt would be my first choice if I only had to pick one.

I want to add another hunt, a guided moose hunt in Minnesota, that would be exciting!

I have dream hunts , most are of turkey these days but what is changing in my life is Dream places to paint, Just finding the time to get out I finding is harder then finding time for hunting. Lately I am praying about hunting in Wisconsin with an artist Larry Seiler. Google his name his work is awesome. Plus he is a believer.

I have added a new critter to hunting, Mountain lion. Anyone want to add a new animal to their list?

Definately! But is Mountain Lion good eating? I saw someone with a recpie on TV for frying it up, but I have also heard that you shouldn't eat carnivorous animals. I don't hunt things I won't eat!
