Tried a new twist this morning 21 minutes on the Stairmaster - 1.5 miles, 69 floors, and about 240 calories followed by 35 minutes on the treadmill for 2.35 miles and another 285 calories. I'm feeling it in a couple of different places this evening!

Back from the Texas Rio Hunt and after a few days recovery I did 4 days this week on the treadmill - burning an average of 600+ calories in a little under an hour. Did one day of added incline (varied it up to 10 degrees) and really burned some good calories. I can't wait to see how well all of this has worked - any chance of moving the elk hunt to May????

I'm hitting it hard... Either one to two miles on foot or bicycle per day, or about 500 yards through heavy cover and blowdowns in the woods every day plus the exercise bike... I've lost 21 pounds of my 37 pound target!

Back on my regimen of 4-5 days a week on the treadmill averaging 50 minutes per day - today I did 50 minutes - burned 636 calories with an average incline of 6 degrees - up to as high as 10 degrees. Hope to get some Rocky Mountain walking in while I'm in Colorado in June!

Awesome Ironknees! I look forward to seeing you sprint up the mountains after that mule deer. Are you going on the first or second hunt?

First hunt, but I'm probably going to come along as the camp watchdog... I'm bringing trail cameras this time to try to get pics of the bears and mountain lions...

Yep... I plan on having one around the cook tent. The bears sniff around there at night... The rest will go on some game trails that I found... Since that camp site is used frequently, I know the bears will be using the same basic paths... As far as the cat goes, I may need to put my tracking skills to work, such as they are...
